The department holds regular outreach activities to several hospitals among them Litein Mission Hospital, Garissa County Hospital, Makueni County Hospital and Mwingi Hospital.
During the outreaches, patients are screened for common eye diseases and eye surgeries performed free of Charge. These outreach activities had been suspended since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and they are set to resume soon.
